The El Paso border region is the largest area without a law school. A new feasibility study commissioned by the Texas legislature found a law school at the University of Texas at El Paso could fill a gap in legal services for this region but also the state. Luna County Commissioners approved a $7 million settlement in a civil lawsuit brought by the family of 14-month-old boy killed by a speeding deputy.
