The dismissal of 59 misdemeanor charges against undocumented immigrants for alleged “riot participation” are back in the Texas 8th Court of Appeals for review. Governor Greg Abbott unveiled a new campaign aimed at deterring migrants from making the trek through Central America and Mexico to the United States. The Department of Labor announced earlier this month a proposed rule that would phase out certificates allowing employers to pay some workers with disabilities less than the federal minimum wage.
