The House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee appointed El Paso Congresswoman Veronica Escobar to the House Appropriations Committee Tuesday. In El Paso, DPS initiated more than 250 pursuits between January and September last year by troopers targeting drivers suspected of transporting undocumented migrants. The El Paso City Council voted to permanently halt the reconstruction of a Lower Valley street.
