KTEP

KTEP’s Angela Kocherga and Aaron Montes host this week’s news roundup. Today, the city of El Paso announced the death of Ruben Ibarra, a Sun Metro employee who suffered severe injuries from a blast at the transportation agency’s operation center in East El Paso. They also recap the case of Manuel Perez, a U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent, who pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to smuggle undocumented immigrants for financial gain and drug trafficking charges. Also, Kocherga talks about Border Patrol agents approaching U.S. citizens to ask them about their status at their workplace in Sunland Park, New Mexico. And, the first lambs appear among the bighorn herd restored to Franklin Mountains State Park.
