The Border Patrol deputized Texas National Guard troops, enabling them to enforce immigration laws. Near the border in Downtown El Paso, around 60 members of the guard were deputized during a ceremony. The El Paso City Council began a procurement process this week in search of a master developer to design a plan for 17-city owned properties in the Duranguito neighborhood. El Paso County plans on issuing over $50 million in debt to pay for first-time water and wastewater services for communities in the Far East and Upper Valley.
