KTEP News In-Depth: Alfredo Corchado

Border counties are traditionally Democratic and overwhelmingly Hispanic. But this last election things changed. Many favored Trump. He won 12 of the 14 counties on the border, not including El Paso. That’s compared to just five in 2016. But 100-days into his second term, that support is showing cracks. Puente News Collaborative Executive editor Alfredo Corchado tells KTEP’s Aaron Montes, the president’s policies do not always align with the complex binational economic reality of border cities from Brownsville to El Paso.
