The Socorro Independent School District school board began its process to hire a permanent superintendent Monday night. Protests over recent immigration raids have spread from Los Angeles to cities across the country — including here in Texas. The Head of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services has announced she'll leave the position at the end of July. The non-profit North Texas Commission says Texas should restore in-state tuition for students without legal status.
