U.S. Customs and Border Protection plans to build a border wall on Mount Cristo Rey. And today was the last day to provide comments on the plan. C-B-P says the 1 point 3 mile long barrier is needed to close a gap in the border wall in this region. Opponents say it won’t stop people who are determined to migrate… but will disrupt cross border wildlife in an area that is sacred for many. KTEP’s Angela Kocherga spoke to Sierra Club Borderlands Coordinator Erick Meza about the group’s concerns.
