The city of El Paso began budget discussions at City Hall Monday and they will continue this morning. City officials have recommended a $1.3 billion dollar budget for fiscal year 2026, which includes nearly $25 million dollars in new spending. City manager Dionne Mack says her administration is not recommending a property tax rate increase for next year but that does not mean taxpayers won’t see a bump in their bills.
