The city of El Paso International Bridges Department has budgeted $30.6 million dollars for its operations at city owned-ports of entry in 2026. The federal government decides who can cross into the U.S. from Mexico but the city owns and facilitates crossings at the Paso del Norte, Stanton and Ysleta International Bridges. Governor Greg Abbott is also calling for a rare, mid-cycle round of congressional redistricting.
