Texas lawmakers kicked off a special legislative session Monday. The long agenda from Gov. Greg Abbott includes regulating THC, flood prevention and emergency management, and a controversial call to redraw the state's congressional maps. The El Paso City Council voted unanimously to suspend the Texas Gas Service’s proposed $41.1 million dollar rate increase for 90 days. South Texas Congressman Henry Cuellar has led the call to ban civilian drones from operating within a mile of the Texas border with Mexico.
