The NAACP has joined LULAC in a federal lawsuit challenging the newly approved congressional maps in Texas. An immigration judge rescheduled DACA recipient Catalina “Xochitl” Santiago’s deportation hearing after the federal government requested more time to argue her case, according to her family. After about two hours of debate, the Texas House passed a bill Tuesday that will revamp the STAAR standardized testing in public schools.
