The El Paso City Council voted unanimously in favor of an agreement that encourages shared information and planned development between El Paso and Sunland Park. Four people have charged in a scheme to smuggle migrant children from Juarez into El Paso using drivers who posed as the children’s parents. Several Texas university student groups are suing to stop parts of a new law they say illegally limits speech on campus. Texas Republicans are sending a bill to Gov. Greg Abbott that intends to dissuade future quorum breaks.
