KTEP News Round-Up; October 3, 2025

KTEP

In this edition of the news week in review, KTEP’s Angela Kocherga and Aaron Montes discuss an ongoing federal lawsuit over a new Congressional map approved by the Texas legislature this year. Voting rights groups allege the map gerrymanders districts by race and the state of Texas says the map is based on partisan lines. Montes also discusses the release of DACA recipient Catalina Xochitl Santiago from ICE custody. And, Kocherga discusses Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum’s first year.
