  • The US Drug Enforcement Administration is expected to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug. The Associated Press reports the agency is moving to downgrade cannabis from a schedule 1 to a schedule 3 drug - like ketamine and codeine.
  • It’s the last day of Early voting in the May 4th election. Polls close at 7pm. Local voters will decide two bond proposals.
  • It’s happening again. There are long lines for commercial trucks at some border crossings connecting El Paso and Juarez . TX DPS vehicle safety inspectors are not allowing trucks to exit U.S. Customs cargo facilities in a timely manner.
  • Police arrested four people after responding to a possible threat placed on schools in Far East El Paso County and an investigation is underway.
  • The Central Appraisal District’s top administrators are encouraging El Pasoans to protest their property valuations if residents feel they don’t reflect the value of their homes.
