Liz Specht is the Senior Scientist at the Good Food Institute. Researchers there are working to increase the accessibility of plant-based and cultured alternatives to animal products. These products would continue to provide consumers animal-based products without the cruelty involved in breeding and slaughtering animals, and products would also be free of hormones or harmful diseases such as E. coli or salmonella.
