ACT Radio – Stephen Wells returns to discuss animal rights

Animal Legal Defense Fund Executive Director and CEO Stephen Wells returns to  ACT Radio to talk with Liz and Tom about some of the cases that ALDF has been involved in and the work they have done to protect the rights of animals.  Stephen recounts the effors to free Tony The Tiger as ALDF sought to amended a petition to intervene in an ongoing lawsuit against the state of Louisiana, as part of its campaign to free Tony, a Siberian-Bengal tiger held in a cage at Gross Tete’s Tiger Truck Stop.

According to Stephen there is large public support for the work that he is involved in. He discusses some of the successful approaches to litigation.  Furthermore, he shares some tools such as the U.S. State Animal Protection Laws Rankingsthat lawmakers can use to show and encouragement improvement in the protection of animals in their respective states.
