Korean Pop Star Psy To Appear In Super Bowl Ad
Psy took YouTube by storm with the viral sensation "Gangnam Style." He will appear in a Super Bowl ad for Wonderful Pistachios — one of the biggest processors of the nuts. The commercial will include an alternate version of Psy's hit song.

Mississippi River Level Disrupts Supply Chain
The Mississippi River is at historically low levels. The Army Corps of Engineers says the river will likely be able to stay open through the month, but soon it may be too shallow in parts for barge traffic. There have been calls for the corps to release water from reservoirs along the Mississippi.

AIG Considers Joining Greenberg's Bailout Lawsuit
Insurance company AIG holds a board meeting Wednesday to consider joining former CEO Maurice "Hank" Greenberg's lawsuit against the government over its handling of the AIG bailout in 2008. For more on the suit, Steve Inskeep talks to business reporter Michael de la Merced of The New York Times.

Christie's State Of The State Focuses On Sandy
New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on Tuesday delivered his State-of-the-State speech. It contained no new policy objectives. It was designed to boost morale in state where he said 346,000 homes were damaged or destroyed by Hurricane Sandy.

Richard Blanco Will Be First Latino Inaugural Poet
Blanco, a first-generation Cuban-American, says he identifies with the theme of the inauguration: Our People, Our Future. He is the fifth poet to take part in a U.S. presidential inauguration, and also the youngest. He says being selected was a "great honor."

Polling found Congress' most recent approval rating is 9 percent. Other things were tested too, and it was discovered root canals are more popular than lawmakers. On the bright side for Congress, it is more popular than the Ebola virus and playground bullies.

Along the de facto border in contested Kashmir, a Pakistani soldier was killed Sunday. On Tuesday, two Indian soldiers were killed and there are reports that one was beheaded.
Many Injured When Ferry Hits Pier In Lower Manhattan
The ferry was arriving from New Jersey when it hit hard, causing a large hole in its hull. There are reports that more than 300 people were on board and that more than 50 were injured, some seriously.
