Travel At A Near Standstill Along The East Coast
Travel is at a virtual standstill along the East Coast because of Sandy. Up to 15,000 flights have been canceled, Amtrak service in the Northeast is shut down again today, and crews are just beginning to assess the extensive cleanup work needed to clear roads and tracks.

Mitt Romney says he'll grant a waiver to all 50 states on Day 1 of his presidency so that they don't have to comply with the Affordable Care Act. But even his supporters question whether he would have the legal authority to do that. He's also promising to repeal it — a process that could take months, at a minimum — and he may not be able to totally repeal the law.

'"It was like swimming in a washing machine," Coast Guard rescue swimmer Daniel Todd says of the effort it took to get to the crew and their life boat. One other crew member died. The ship's captain is missing. The HMS Bounty had been used in many movies.
