  • Sentencing is expected Tuesday for Chai Soua Vang in the murder of six deer hunters last year. The shooting in northern Wisconsin followed a racially charged trespassing confrontation between Vang, who is Hmong, and the men.   • The U.S. Senate will soon vote on a budget bill that contains a provision to allow drilling in the Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Debate over oil exploration in the delicate and remote habitat has been going on for 20 years -- Alex Chadwick discussed the upcoming vote with Elizabeth Arnold, who's just returned from a visit to a native community inside the refuge that's also split on whether or not to allow drilling.
  • FarmersOnly.com, an online dating service that started last spring, is designed for farmers but open to anyone. It features profiles of more than 1,800 people from around the country. Jerry Miller, who is not a farmer, created the site after listening to a divorced farmer describe her dating dilemmas.
  • Lost to us at 71, jazz pianist and vocalist Shirley Horn's slow pace and rich voice will be missed. She made more than 20 albums. Perhaps her most memorable effort was "Here's to Life."
