Host Charles Horak welcomes Film Critics Choice Association voting member Felipa Solis to discuss no-cost streaming options and the quickly evolving digital on-demand world of movies on TV.
With the evolution of streaming services, our usual budget for cable TV has been absorbed by the cost of the different apps to access quality content. Freevee is a streaming service owned by Amazon that provides original and licensed programming with ads. There are non-commercially based services here in El Paso! One is if you have an El Paso public library card, you can access HOPPLA Digital, where you can download or stream free music, TV shows, and movies. The other service is for UTEP students and faculty, the service is called Kanopy where you can find interesting movies and documentaries, if you are a Digital Media Production major you know this service thanks to your Film minor. There are more streaming services mentioned during the interview so don't miss out and start listening to this episode!
