Host Charles Horak welcomes Carlos Corral, Artistic Director and Founder of El Paso Film Festival to discuss this year's special guests and list of independent films to be showcased.

Carlos Corral is a Texas Filmmaker with more than 16 years of experience working on a variety of high-profile television, documentary, and feature film productions. Being among the most prolific personalities in the Texas Film scene, he is not only a sound mixer, but also credited as a producer, director, editor, and more.

The El Paso Film Festival is one of the largest in Texas to showcase emerging filmmakers on a bi-national stage where film lovers can discover and support local and regional moviemakers. This year's festival will take place in El Paso on September 28-30.

Since 2004, Charles Horak has been the host of the long-running radio program, On Film, creating more than 1,000 programs dedicated to film reviews, filmmaker interviews and discussions of cinema history and industry advancement. He is a voting member of the Critics Choice Association and board member of the Texas Archive of the Moving Image.
Sam Cassiano is a native Californian who spent his formative years in the Bay Area. An army brat, his family toured Germany and Japan before settling in El Paso in 1973. Initially a Communications Major at UTEP, a radio internship at KPAS-FM 94, the PASS launched his broadcasting career. He can be heard as the morning news anchor on KTEP during NPR's Morning Edition, and Friday evenings at 10 pm as the host of Friday Night Blues.
