Awareness Through Adornment is a project by artist Alejandra Carrillo Estrada which focuses on uplifting the voices of marginalized groups in the Cd. Juarez/El Paso borderland. This collaborative art project will consist of surveys, interviews, and documentation of body adornment worn by the community.
Alejandra is currently creating original artwork inspired by, and reflective of these conversations. You’re invited to see her show which opens on August 11, 2022 at the ArtSpace gallery in Downtown El Paso.
