UTEP’s Department of Theatre and Dance brings us Los Empeños de una Casa by Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz.
This new bilingual translation of de la Cruz’s play is a comedy of errors set in 1680s Spain and explores love, honor, revenge and a tangled web of jealousy as young lovers vie to fulfill their heart’s desires.
This production is on the stage from February 23 through March 3, 2024 at the UTEP Wise Family Theatre.
