Chihua.Chuco.Cruzeña is on view at the MACC through August 16th, 2026. The show stitches together the narratives of three artists, Joana Rios, Eva Gabriella Flynn, and AO. Each of the artists is from the tri-borderland region and offers a unique perspective on the Fronteriza experience.
Although the intentions behind each work of art in this exhibition differ, they are united through the use of personal narratives expressed in these works that challenge formulaic ideas of the borderland experience.
Today, we are joined by two of the three artists in this show, Joana Rios and Eva Gabriella Flynn.
