Buzzy Jackson is an award-winning author for her latest novel, To Die Beautiful. Jackson has a Ph.D. in History from the University of California Berkeley and is a member of the National Book Critics Circle. Jackson’s works include A Bad Woman Feeling Good: Blues and the Women Who Sing Them, Shaking the Family Tree, and an upcoming novel based on historical true crime in her current hometown in the state of Colorado.

Hannie Shaft is a nineteen-year-old law student with big dreams and goals for the future. However, she faces a huge challenge as her closest friends are no longer safe as fascism rises in her country. Hannie soon becomes an armed member of the Dutch Resistance movement. Hannie then decoys herself with heels and lipstick to lure powerful Nazi soldiers close and would assassinate them at point-blank range, and bombing munitions factories.
