John Cazares is a professor in the Political Science Department at El Paso Community College. He also served as a government teacher at Eastwood High School in El Paso and had served as the baseball coach for that same school. Cazares has been awarded in the El Paso Baseball Hall of Fame.
John Cazares tells the story about where he grew up on the U.S. Border and goes into more detail about his trips as well as a 40-mile trip to a small town in Mexico. He also explains the story of his father’s weekly pilgrimage to visit his parents on the cool morning of the 12th of December when his family took a wheelchair to John’s grandfather.
