Living The Beatles Legend: The Untold Story of Mal Evans

Publisher: Dey Street Books

Kenneth Womack tells the untold story of Mal Evans, the beloved roadie, assistant, confidant and friend. Being the scholar for the Beatles, Kenneth speaks upon the untold story of Malcolm Evans. Mal was a gentle person who had a passion for managing the Beatles. He had such a fascination with the American West such as Ringo did as well. Mal followed the sound coming from the club and was hooked by the Beatles Music. George had recommended Mal to work as a Bouncer at the Cavern Club in order to continue to hang out with the band.

There was a time when Mal had thought he was going to get fired due to his struggle with setting up Ringo’s drum set and falling back on his work, but luckily he was able to continue working with them and becoming their road manager. Kenneth had a mutual friend who knew Mal’s son, Gary. In fact, Gary wanted to speak to Kenneth and handed him all of Mal's diaries, photos, notes and drawings. The first thing Kenneth explored was the date of May 9th 1969, when the band was breaking up. It was a drawing cartoon of Paul losing his mind.
