Rus Bradburd on Basketball in the Barrio’s 30th Anniversary

The basketball, leadership, and literary the free-of-cost summer camp for children from Segundo Barrio and Chamizal neighborhoods, Basketball in the Barrio, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Rus Bradburd, founder and director of Basketball in the Barrio, is author of four books, coached the UTEP and New Mexico State University (NMSU) basketball teams for 14 seasons, and now teaches writing at NMSU’s MFA program.

The Weekend’s host Louie Saenz talks to Bradburd about his career and Basketball in the Barrio’s new milestone.
