World Water Day

World Water Day has been celebrated by the United Nations every March 22, since 1993. This day recognizes the importance of freshwater for every human being and the planet that we inhabit.

This year, UTEP’s Somos Agua/We Are Water — an artist-led collective within the interdisciplinary research group One Water Cluster — will host the second edition of World Water Week at UTEP from March 21-26, 2022.

The events will be on and off campus, Covid19 permitting, including live interactive performances, symposia on water topics, and information stations. The global World Water Day theme for 2022 is “Groundwater: Making the Invisible Visible.”
