The International Museum of Art is proud to present Community and Connections by the Soldier Art Workshop Foundation. This exciting new gallery celebrates the volunteer instructors in the program, all local artists who donate their time and passion for the arts..

All are welcome to the Grand Reception on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 1-3 pm. Community and Connections will be on view now through May 23, 2026.

The Soldier Art Workshop Foundation provides accessible art programming to soldiers, veterans and their families. The organization emphasizes the importance of art as a means of creative expression, aiding both soldiers and their families in navigating the challenges of military life. The art workshops are made possible through the support of local artists, who partner with the Fort Bliss Morale, Welfare & Recreation Directorate to organize the sessions.

The International Museum of Art is dedicated to making art accessible to all, offering free admission, exhibitions of local artists, and a rich collection of regional and international artifacts.
