Stress Relief Through Arts – First Responder Art Exhibit

Stress Relief Through Arts – First Responder Art Exhibit

The International Museum of Art is proud to welcome "Stress Relief Through Arts – First Responder Art Exhibit" this September. This powerful exhibit showcases the resilience, creativity, and courage of local first responders through their artwork. Each piece tells a story of healing, hope, and strength beyond the call of duty.

All are welcome at the opening reception on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 2 pm - 4 pm. Join our community to experience the art, support our heroes, and witness how creativity brings relief and connection to those who serve. Stress Relief Through Arts will be on view from September 13 through October 4, 2025.

“Stress Relief Through Arts – A First Responder Stress Relief Program” is a passion-driven initiative that provides alternative and positive stress relief to our frontline heroes. Built by and for first responders, the program creates space for firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers, law enforcement officers, and military personnel to explore artistic expression as a part of their wellness journey.

The objective of the program is simple but powerful: to offer a healthy, creative outlet for those who navigate high-stress environments every day. It is not a substitute for counseling or professional therapy, but a complementary addition to a comprehensive wellness program. It stands alone as an initiative that opens the door for conversations around mental health, self-care, and resiliency—sometimes for the first time.

The International Museum of Art is dedicated to making art accessible to all, offering free admission, exhibitions of local artists, and a rich collection of regional and international artifacts. Thanks to the generous support of our members and donors, we continue to foster cultural understanding and promoting the visual arts in El Paso.
