Come and explore the artworks of two El Paso women artists from the early 20th century, Octavia “Tia” Magoffin Glasgow and Leola Warnock Freeman, at the International Museum of Art (IMOA)! This new exhibit seeks to compare paths these two El Paso women took to becoming portrait artists and the ways that they supported each other's artistic careers and personal lives, despite their different circumstances. One became an artist, making her living through her work, and the other became a teacher that produced successful artists.

This exhibit is hosted by the Magoffin Home at the International Museum of Art at 1211 Montana Ave., El Paso, TX 79902. We are joined in this collaboration by the County of El Paso and the Casa Magoffin Compañeros. For those interested in joining, the Vinyasa yoga class is excellent for your health; it keeps you active and helps reduce stress. EPQA meets the third Thursday monthly from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM (set-up 6:00 PM) at St. Paul's Methodist Church, 7000 Edgemere Blvd., El Paso, Texas 79925 (Eastside). This is the original guild that started in El Paso, May 1982. Members come from El Paso and surrounding areas in the Borderland. Business meeting includes Show & Tell, different types of drawings and activities, break for snacks/drinks/social time before Show & Tell. We have a yearly Opportunity Quilt as a fundraiser. Guests are welcomed. Workshops are held the Saturday after the Thursday meeting from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM (set-up 8:30 AM). Workshops are taught by members or guest instructors.
