Charlize Mercado
On-Air InternCharlize Mercado does On-Air work for KTEP, where she ensures that the broadcast has the proper levels and runs smoothly, all while ensuring that our listeners are properly informed so that they can make the most of their days.
Charlize is a Sophomore at the University of Texas at El Paso, where she is pursuing a Marketing degree with a minor in communication. Prior to her transfer, she was a student in Mexico, where she designed marketing plans for small businesses to achieve their goals. She was assistant stage manager of the Enrique Hernandez Soto theatre company, and floor manager for school events, thanks to her corny scripts that managed to inspire new students.
If Charlize is passionate about something, it is the power of our voices and using them to tell stories, whether it is through public speaking, singing, voice acting, or announcing. She is a firm believer that dreams can come true and hopes to be able to use her studies to do so through the power of stories.
