Called "new age" by some, the music is vibrant and diverse, ranging from solo piano and guitar to exotic instrumentations, arrangements and styles from independent artists and labels from around the world. Independent musicians provide about 90% of the music heard on the program.

The best albums of 2024 are a very subjective choice from all albums (not singles) RECEIVED during the prior year; they need not necessarily have been copyrighted that year. I try to select the tracks most representative of the quality of the album, but am sometimes restricted by timing, etc.
