On this episode of Border Health Horizons, Dr. Emre Umucu, and Dr. Jason Boyle welcome to the studios Dr. Kisuk Min, UTEP Assistant Professor of Kinesiology to talk all about his mighty mice. Kisuk explains how his research model uses genetically modified mice to test out the effects of exercise on the animals' heart health and what kind of 'workouts' the rodents practice in order to accomplish their research purpose. Dr. Min explains the reason to use mice for his research and his hopes for this to advance to a human subject stage.
