FALL PLEDGE DRIVE - Keep KTEP Going Strong!

October brings a change of season and joyful anticipation of the upcoming holidays.  For KTEP, October also brings our Fall Pledge Drive.  Once again, we are erring on the side of caution and holding the pledge drive online.  Our theme for this drive is, Keep KTEP, Going Strong!"

While we have seen positive strides in combating the pandemic, we are still seeing cases here and across the nation.  For us to maintain recommended social distancing means no in-studio phone banks and only online giving.  We, of course, miss seeing our volunteers and supporters.  Most surprisingly, I have had numerous people tell me that they miss coming in during the pledge drive.  It is humbling and heartwarming.

Here at KTEP, we are slowly getting back to some semblance of normal.  You may have noticed some new voices.  We started bringing in a small group of student interns/employees to continue our mission of training the next generation of broadcasters.  Some of our show hosts are also coming into our studios, while other wish to continue producing from home.  Regardless, KTEP remains steadfast in bringing you best public radio has to offer.

The pandemic has given us the time and opportunity to review our technical systems and operations.  During the past few months, we have begun the process of installing a new state-of-the-art automation system and a new database.  These two pieces of equipment/software will greatly improve our efficiency and enhance our operations.  That, along with some other pieces of equipment, will make KTEP sound better.  As you might expect, broadcast gear is not inexpensive and we reach out to you our friends to help us make "your" station better.

Finally, as we celebrate our 71st birthday, I ask you to give generously and “Keep KTEP Going Strong!” Thank you.
