Richard Dayoub from Thunderbird Management welcomes Major General Richard Harrison, who is the Commanding General of the 32nd Army Air and Missile Defense Command (AAMDC) located here in Ft Bliss to talk about their critical role in the nation’s defense. Major General Harrison also talks about his background in the Army, being a leader, and what the 32nd Command is and what it does.
Major General Richard Harrison serves as the incoming Commanding General of the 32d Army Air and Missile Defense Command. A native of Sunbury, N.C., MG Harrison received his commission through Army ROTC as an Air Defense Artillery (ADA) officer in 1994 from Elizabeth City State University (ECSU), Elizabeth City, N.C. MG Harrison has served in a variety of command and staff positions throughout his career. His military awards and decorations include two awards of the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit, three awards of the Bronze Star Medal, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, and more.
