In this edition of El Paso Prime Time, Richard Dayoub from Thunderbird Management is joined by Dr. John Hadjimarcou, the Dean of the Woody L. Hunt College of Business to talk about his new plans for the college and how they plan to support students as future business leaders. Dr. Hadjimarcou will also talk about his background as a professor and how this inspired him to focus on the students wellbeing and their future, always keeping the students at the center of his decisions.
Dr. Hadjimarcou didn’t always think he was going to be the Dean of the College of Business when he first joined UTEP as an assistant professor of marketing. Throughout his career, Hadjimarcou has received awards for his teaching, research and service, including multiple Outstanding Research Awards from college faculty and the Business College Council. In 2010, he received the Faculty Achievement Award for Teaching, UTEP’s highest teaching honor. Hadjimarcou has since been a recipient of the prestigious University of Texas System Regents’ Outstanding Teaching Award.
