Breakthrough 915

Breakthrough 915 is an innovative initiative of the El Paso Collaborative for Academic Excellence based at the University of Texas at El Paso. In this edition of El Paso Prime Time, Richard Dayoub from Thunderbird Management welcomes Ivette Savina, UTEP’s Assistant Vice President for Outreach and Student Access to talk about why this is so important to our community’s youth and how they support them. They will also discuss the Collaborative for Academic Excellence and its importance.

Breakthrough 915 facilitates educational and career opportunities and mental health services for youth and young adults in El Paso County so they can maximize their potential and thrive in their career paths. Their goal is to identify organizations who provide specialized services, such as school districts, work centers and nonprofit organizations, and match them with people between 16 and 24 years old who may not be working or going to school.
