In this edition of El Paso Prime time, Richard Dayoub, from Thunderbird Management, is joined in the studio by El Paso County’s Director of Strategic Development, Jose Landeros, to discuss the current position of the County and needs they have identified for the next five years, as well as the County of Bond Advisory Committee (BoAC) and its meetings. They also discussed the process of budgeting and issuance bonds, outreach, and the impact that this has on the community.
The County Bond Advisory Committee (BoAC) was formed to help shape a recommendation to El Paso County government regarding the responsible utilization of bonds. The committee is expected to play a key role in guiding a publicly transparent process and ensuring that bond initiatives align with the best interests of our community.
Jose Landeros currently serves as the Director of Strategic Development for El Paso County and is responsible for the oversight and implementation of the County American Rescue Plan Act Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund Portfolio, management of strategic investments of large capital and operating funds and leading the development of strategic and capital planning documents and associated funding priorities, including the 2024 Multiyear Capital Planning Process. Jose also provides administrative oversight of the Economic Development Department and has previously served as the County’s Director of Planning & Development.
