Success Stories and the Miguel A. Loya College of Engineering

In this episode of El Paso Prime Time, host Richard Dayoub from Thunderbird Management welcomes into the studios Dr. Kenith Meissner, Dean of the Miguel A. Loya College of Engineering, to talk about the many updates and developments happening for the University of Texas at El Paso's College of Engineering. Dean Meissner also talks about the recent $30 million donation made by Miguel Loya to the engineering college and the importance behind it. Dr. Meissner also updates Mr. Dayoub on the mining program and how mining technology has been changing. Also, listen for exciting news on a Fort Bliss partnership with UTEP.

Dr. Ken Meissner began his role as Dean of the Miguel A. Loya College of Engineering in August of 2022 and has also served as the Pro Vice-Chancellor/Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science and Engineering at Swansea University in Wales. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University in 1987 and earned his Ph.D in Optical Sciences from the University of Arizona Optical Sciences Center in 1994.
