Full Flower Moon

In this week's episode of Frontera Frequencies, the theme is the Moon. Hosts Roberto Avant-Mier and Alejandra Seanez explore music related to the Moon on the day of the Full Flower Moon, highlighting songs "Hijo de La Luna" from Mecano, "The Moon" from Cat Power, and the additional closing song "New Moon" from Tweedy.

For the Miner Music Minute segment, student Jonathan Perez talks about his tastes in musical theater and vocal pop, highlighting tracks such as "Burn" from the Musical Hamilton, sung by Phillipa Soo, and "Clean" by Natalie Grant.

Roberto Avant-Mier (PhD, University of Utah) is an Associate Professor and Research Fellow in the Department of Communication at The University of Texas at El Paso, and he is also affiliated faculty in Chicano Studies at UTEP. <br/>
Ale Seanez is a graduate student and MTA who recently earned her degree in Communication. She is passionate about exploring how media, culture, border identity, and storytelling intersect, and plans to pursue a PhD after completing graduate school.
Martin Leon is a producer at KTEP, editing and assembling radio shows for the station. He engineers and records interviews, as well as being a Board Operator for Texas Standard once a week. Current shows include Jazz Night in America, The Latin Alternative, Classical Guitar Alive, From the Top, and Pipedreams.
Daisy Morales is part of the on-air talent, and interview host, in charge of recording and producing shows such as El Paso Prime Time, Science Studio, and We Are UT El Paso; Daisy also manages the recently added Podcast division.
