Ale Seanez

Frontera Frequencies Host

Ale Seanez is a graduate student and MTA who recently earned her degree in Communication. She is passionate about exploring how media, culture, border identity, and storytelling intersect, and plans to pursue a PhD after completing graduate school.

Previously, Ale studied communication and film, developing a strong interest in how cinema and music influence identity and cultural expression. A lifelong musician, she has played the piano, alto saxophone, and baritone saxophone for years, a talent she inherited from a long line of musicians in her family. This has deepened her appreciation for rhythm, creativity, and emotion in storytelling. Ale believes film and music are universal languages that connect people through shared emotion.

She draws creative inspiration from visionary directors such as Guillermo del Toro, Stanley Kubrick, and Julie Taymor, whose storytelling and visual artistry fuel her love for cinema. Musicians like The Beatles, Juan Gabriel, and Karol G also inspire her to create with emotion and authenticity, reminding her that art, whether through film or music, has the power to connect and transform.

In her spare time, Ale is an avid reader who gravitates toward gothic, fantasy, and Chicano authors. She loves spending time with her four fur babies and her family, and she’s an enthusiastic collector of Funko Pops, Día de los Muertos Barbies, and Disney’s Haunted Mansion memorabilia. Talking about music genuinely fills her soul with joy, and she hopes to continue blending her love of art, culture, and communication in all that she does.
