Fall Feels

In this week's episode of Frontera Frequencies, hosts Roberto Avant-Mier and Ale Seañez fall into autumn by sharing their favorite songs for this crisp and cozy time of year. They play tracks like, "Autumn Leaves" by Nat King Cole, Lily William's "Things That Fall", and "We Fell in Love in October" by Girl in Red.

On the Miner Music Minute we have a special guest, our show's producer, Ava Elder. Usually Ava is in charge of helping put together episodes, but since she loves all things music we thought we'd have her on the show. She shares a unique cover of "Iron Man" by the Cardigans and a song that makes her think of someone special by her favorite band, Fontaines D.C. called "Favourite."

Roberto Avant-Mier (PhD, University of Utah) is an Associate Professor and Research Fellow in the Department of Communication at The University of Texas at El Paso, and he is also affiliated faculty in Chicano Studies at UTEP. <br/>
Ale Seanez is a graduate student and MTA who recently earned her degree in Communication. She is passionate about exploring how media, culture, border identity, and storytelling intersect, and plans to pursue a PhD after completing graduate school.
Martín Leon is a producer at KTEP, editing, and assembling radio shows for the station.
Ava Elder is in charge of being an on air board operator and producing shows like Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me, Travel With Rick Steves, and others. Ava provides detailed weather and traffic updates, and makes sure each broadcast she is in charge of goes smoothly so that listeners can enjoy what they are hearing.
