Volunteering Opportunities at FloraFest 2024

utep.edu

On this week’s show, Denise, John and Jan offer tips on volunteering at FloraFest 2024 with guest speaker and Botanical Curator Kevin Floyd. As FloraFest 2024 is approaching soon, we discuss the opportunities people can take advantage of in this year’s FloraFest, alongside with different events and discussing planting advice for our climate that can be useful to use in your garden. Denise will also provide more updates and information on the El Paso County Master Gardeners programs that will be available for anyone to attend.

The Master Gardener program started as a way to provide horticultural information to the public as its basic function. The El Paso program began in 1981 and has over 6,000 Texas Master Gardeners within 112 counties. These volunteers also contributed over 400,000 hours of time and talent to Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service.
