A new book collects insights, interviews and filmmaker profiles from several decades of the cinema. The book is titled Mavericks: Interviews with the World's Iconoclast Filmmakers. On this edition of On Film, host Charles Horack talks with the book Author Geral Peary to discuss years of interactions with some of the most singular talents in film.
Gerald Peary, an American filmmaker, professor, and critic, is the author of nine books on cinema. His work has appeared in the Los Angeles Times, Toronto Globe, Chicago Tribune, and the Boston Globe. Mavericks: Interviews with the World's Iconoclast Filmmakers is published by University Press of Kentucky and is available on Amazon and Barnes & Nobles.
