Celina Galicia

Stories told about the US-Mexican border have a rich, yet complicated history. On film portrayals of border communities have often been underrepresented, oversimplified, and often told by those in Hollywood who do not have personal ties or lived experiences of what life in the border is actually like. In this edition of On film, guest host Angie Reza Tures welcomes Borderland filmmaker Celina Galicia to discuss her latest projects and her activity in the film industry for the last three years working on projects for Netflix, Amazon Prime, Paramount Pictures and HBO also a 2020 Film Fellow with Femme Frontera.
