Santa's Cousin

Poster: Santa's Cousin (Film)|Distributed By: HMC Media Holdings Inc

Holiday season is upon us, which means that there are a lot of holiday themed movies calling for our attention, and one locally made Christmas film is about to have its big theatrical debut. The new film, Santa's Cousin, was made entirely in Las Cruces and is a unique coproduction that included NMSU's Creative Media Institute (CMI) students. In this edition of On Film, host Charles Horak welcomes Ross Marks, professor of film in NMSU to talk about the production and debut of the film.

Charles Horak didn't sleep much as a child, preferring instead to watch movies on late night TV. Not much has changed since then, except that he now shares his life-long passion for movies with others. Horak's association with On Film began in the summer of 2002 when he was interviewed by the show's originator, Cynthia Haines. In the summer of 2005, Horak took over for Haines as host of the show.

He can be heard as the morning news anchor on KTEP during NPR's Morning Edition, and Friday evenings at 10 pm as the host of Friday Night Blues.
