Film schools provide the tools for young filmmakers to learn more and practice in low-stake environments. A school of thought is that the greatest utility film school has is connecting you with like-minded individuals who share your desire to tell stories via the visual mediums of film and television.
UTEP's Digital Media Production Association has been shaping minds and equipping students with knowledge for different media careers to include film and television, a like minded aspect of individuals getting together to help tell eachother's stories is strengthen by organizations such as the Digital Media Production Association.
